In order to cope with things and move forward we need to learn how to let go. When it comes to letting go, Thais are the experts, saying “mai pen rai”, brush off all the little troubles, anger, sadness, anxiety, fear, disappointment, frustration and go on with life. But can they really? Mai pen rai may seem to radiate the sense of easygoingness, although in different contexts it can mean several things.
In the Exhibit Never Grow Up Karyl Nerona captures the essence of childhood, evoking a sense of nostalgia that transports viewers back to a simpler time.
Prescribed burning refers to the indigenous practice of intentional lighting of smaller, controlled fires, under specific conditions to help replenish forests and avoid extreme wildfires. Since most identify flame and fire with pain and anger, prescribed burning as a practice resonated very well with my journey of healing and dealing with anger as an emotion.
