Roberto Sanchez Roberto Sanchez  | 1969 University of the Philippines Roberto Sanchez initially was a music DJ, spending decades in the industry of creating music for entertaining audiences. Due to an unforeseen incident, he let go of his world after dark and shifted to visual arts.

He eventually started projecting videos over his paintings to make it more dynamic, allowing for more movement and changes to the mood of the work. Much like the impermanence and fluidity of music, he found a way to imbed those ideals into his art. While some artists use a projector to outline a picture for making a painting; Sanchez’ method explores the opposite process.

Sanchez studied Philosophy in the University of the Philippines. Long before that, he began his music career during the early 90s at the age of 13. During which, he founded the band called Tribomanila and had a TV show, Urban Tribe. He retired from being a DJ 2012 and has created art since.
