In the cosmic lenses of actuality, human existence is but specks of dust, mere fragments of life that inhabit a dimension. But if we explore more about the essence of life we can see that we are but individual universes in its own, with systems and existences within our very own dimensions- the human self.
With the notion that everything that we perceive is energy with varying frequencies, each action made, led to, or may lead to a path bound by causality. A connection within each existence; I-Us-We
The idea of the individual as the cosmos is a metaphor for the notion of a unified whole, a greater understanding of the system within the essences of beings that connects to all the objects and the phenomena within and outside of the system, as inside so the outside, as above so below.
With the image of cloth as a representation of safe space, Gelo Montiero explores the idea of self in connection with the space that we create. Contrary to his previous works of seclusion, concealment, and disconnection, In this series of works, Montiero explored the idea of the self in connection with the outside of the boundaries of individual fabricated spaces, opening up to possibilities created by causality at the present.
