In Tyang’s ninth solo exhibition, titled “POWER FOOLS,” she pays homage to her unsung heroes and the foundational influences on her artistic journey. Through her choice of materials as a means of artistic expression, she honors the comrades and individuals who have shaped her character and serve as ongoing sources of inspiration for her creations. She expresses gratitude for her everyday existence and the profound connection she feels with her environment.
The term “Power fools” cleverly plays with “Power Tools” as her choice of weapon for creations with the idea of embracing one’s authentic self and daring to take risks, Depicting it in a favorable light, she transformed her wild and playful concepts into actions through the strength of her passion for creative expression, making it a key element in becoming an innovative artist who thinks outside the box.
Over the course of ten years spent honing her woodcutting and carpentry skills, she transforms her vibrant imagination into tangible creations, crafting installations and wood assemblages specifically for “POWER FOOLS.”
