TWO-MAN EXHIBITION FEATURING:
the works of CEET FOUAD & EGG FIASCO
SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA:
Characterized by vibrant spray-painted figures and letter abstractions, graffiti and street art materialize not only through forms and imagery but also intervened by the reflections from the vantage point of the artist. As the mist from the pressurized canister makes contact with the surface, a new narrative emerges. On the surface, these works are distinct with their harmonious color play, dynamic character representations and elements. Beyond their aesthetics reveal a chronicle of societal exegesis.


Egg Fiasco and Ceet’s works, on walls and other surfaces are varying manifestations of these characteristics, ‘UP TO THE SKY!’ showcases works by artists Egg Fiasco and Ceet in commemoration of the 75th Philippine-French relations. Consecutively, a Filipino and a French artist who delves into exploring reflections of their realities and translates it into idiosyncratic dimensions of their own. Egg Fiasco systematically layers multiplanar dimensions with multiplicity of deconstructed images that reveal assortment of essences. Ceet, on the other hand, delineates his lived experiences and social commentaries through his “Chicanos” which are representations of humans in chicken form, a satirical metaphor of humans in an over-crowded sphere.
